I think I would sum up the property as "tired elegance"! staff were very helpful and charming and the food was excellent. It must have been a very grand house at one time - I didn't have a chance to explore outside. It has been 7 years since I visited it last for a funeral wake.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent evening meal. Not very convenient to go to dinner _ access to the bar/restaurant was outside and the weather is not always good.

We stayed in room 27 which is in a detached lodge house at the end of the carpark. There are a number of self contained rooms. The Carpet on the stairs was thread bare all the way up, the bathroom was very old, and after pressure was non existent. Noise all night, doors banging.
